Description: Assist SkeenaWild’s Communications Director and support the SkeenaWild team. This position will include basic video editing, newsletter development, social media management, various writing/editing projects, film festival coordination and outreach, basic graphic design, and other communications related work.

• Temporary Contract for 6 months (the potential for contract continuation)

• 20-30 hours/week.

• Wage will be determined based on level of education and experience.

• Preference will be given to candidates with post-secondary education in communications, journalism, marketing or another related field. The applicant is expected to have excellent writing, communications, and computer skills, good people skills and a basic understanding/experience of local geography and environmental/community issues within the Skeena region. Basic graphic design experience is also an asset.

• This position will require travel within the Skeena watershed and the applicant will therefore require a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
