    Quantum Leaps Conference - Women in Science Careers(Thursday, February 9 - UNBC Terrace) Join SkeenaWild and UNBC at our annual Quantum Leaps Conference for young women in Grades 10-12 to hear from local women in science-related careers. This free event takes place on Thursday, February 9th from 4 to 8 pm at the UNBC Terrace Campus (4837 Keith Avenue), and includes dinner and door prizes!     North Coast Salmon Update – September 6th 2022

    On June 29th, 2021, under the Pacific Salmon Strategy Initiative (PSSI), Fisheries and OceansCanada announced significant commercial salmon closures for the 2021 season. These closureswere implemented on an interim basis in 2021 with a commitment to review fisheries forpotential longer term closures for 2022. Decisions on fisheries identified for longer-term closuresor additional mitigation requirements are provided in Appendix 10 of the IFMP. More information on PSSI can be found here.
