Education Program

SkeenaWild Salmon & Watershed Education

Place-based, inquiry-led and experiential school, outreach and summer programs for preschool to Grade 12 - delivered outside, inside and virtually

Since 2018, SkeenaWild’s Salmon and Watershed Education Program has provided interactive classroom workshops,  outreach and summer watershed nature educational resources for K-12 students. Our workshops are facilitated by an experienced environmental educator who shares her passion for science and salmon with fun and educational hands-on activities and demonstrations. Workshops can be delivered inside the classroom, outdoors, or virtually.

In keeping with SkeenaWild’s mandate to protect and conserve wild salmon populations and ecosystems in the Skeena Watershed, the education program teaches students about the importance of our salmon and our watershed.

These lesson plans provide educators with relevant background information, key definitions, suggested activities, and links to additional resources.
