Salmon inspire and sustain us. The Skeena Salmon Art Fest aims to celebrate salmon through art. Volunteers of this new community initiative seek to beautify Terrace through public art initiatives, and raise awareness of salmon as the foundation of our cultures. Started in 2018, this summer-long event is a community collaboration supported by many local groups, organizations and people with a common vision. SkeenaWild is proud to be an annual sponsor and sit on the Board of Directors as well as the Mural Committee.
2019 Skeena Salmon Art Festival generated 5 new murals, the Downtown Banner Art project, YXT public art sculpture, Millennium Pathway Salmon Migration project (youth painted salmon installed on fences), Terrace Art Gallery Exhibit which featured over 100 pieces of salmon art by over 70 different artists.
